WHAT IS A COWBOY CHURCH?
A western-themed, independent gathering of people who worship together ina relaxed style appealing to those who like the outdoors and a family atmosphere. The church emphasizes welcoming visitors with open arms. It is a "come-as-you-are" kind of place where folks who have felt disconnected from religion for various reasons can feel right at home. Cowboy Church believes the worship service should b e informal and enjoyable with an absence of ritual. At Cowboy Church, we get a lot of folks that probably would not go into a normal church setting. Folks feel like they have become a part of something that matters. Cowboy Church just wants to tell folks about Jesus!
Of course, the cowboy garb and background are optional.
You do not need to be a cowboy or a cowgirl to enjoy Cowboy Church,
some of our people have never even been on a horse.
You may walk in as a stranger, but you will walk out with new friends.
The church is associated with the American Fellowship of Cowboy Churches (AFCC),
which is a non-profit Christian organization made up of a cowboy churches whose leaders and congregations believe the BIble is the true, complete, and unfailing Word of God.
The service begins each week with praise music and includes country inspirational music mixed with gospel favorites, followed by prayer and a 30-40 minute sermon based on what the Bible has to say.
After every service, a potluck dinner is enjoyed.
Cowboy Church is a great place to find new friends.
